BRECKING PRESS About Us
BRECKLING PRESS is a privately owned publishing company, founded by Anne Knudsen in 2002. We are based in Elmhurst, Illinois. Serendipity had a role in the establishment of the company, as it coincided with Anne's decision to leave a career in educational and trade publishing to spend more time with her young children. As well as broad-based experience in the book publishing industry, Anne had also worked on a line of popular books for quilters, then known as The Quilt Digest Press. As several highly respected authors were in search of new publishing opportunities, Anne decided the time was right to begin a new company. The name Breckling Press came from a search through our family tree.
Since the publication of the first book, Folded Flowers by Kumiko Sudo in 2002, Breckling Press has followed it's mission to produce premium-quality books for people interested in the fabric arts. We are proud to produce books by stars of the quilting world, including Jinny Beyer, Nancy Crow, and Sandra Dallas.
